When to Go
Night skiing takes place from 4:30pm to 10pm and is also offered on holidays.
Save Money
Wednesday nights are college nights. Present your ID and get $3 off lift tickets and $5 off ski rentals.

This is a fun place to ski if you just want to get out for the day. The slopes are nice and you can bring kids as well. This is probably not the best place if you are a really advanced skier or snowboarder, however.

Afton Alps is a fun place to ski when in the Minneapolis area. The hills aren't the largest but they have some nice runs and usually a pretty good base.

Afton is only 20 mins out of St. Paul and provides a wide variety of runs, and even one run with some decent moguls. There are several terrain parks with well maintained elements. The rentals were decent but well used but the pro shop was well stocked. A great place to take a family
